OUR MISSION
ADVANCING NEBRASKA INSURANCE INDUSTRY & FUTURE WORKFORCE
The mission of the Nebraska Insurance Federation is to protect and promote the member insurance companies of the Federation to support both a robust domestic insurance industry that provides employment and economic opportunity to Nebraska families and to support a competitive insurance market to provide individuals, families, and businesses in Nebraska with security to meet their financial needs.
The Federation also promotes the concepts of insurance and encourages the study and research in the field of insurance to foster public understanding of insurance and private enterprise while also creating the Nebraska insurance workforce of the future.
WHY HAVE AN NIF MEMBERSHIP
ADVOCACY
The NIF is the voice of the Nebraska insurance industry and effectively advocates for the industry before both the legislative and executive branches of Nebraska State Government.
COMMUNICATION
The NIF provides timely and relevant communication to members on actions that impact member companies in Nebraska, including Legislative updates, regulatory actions, political activities, and news.
NETWORKING
The NIF coordinates opportunities for member companies to interact with Nebraska policy makers, regulators, and, most importantly, each other.
ETHICS
The NIF works to advocate for the insurance industry within the parameters of all necessary state and federal law, including all anti-trust laws.
BECOME A FEDERATION MEMBER
MEMBERSHIP CATEGORIES & ELIGIBILITY
Federation membership has two categories, Regular Membership and Associate Membership. Regular Membership is for insurance companies with certificates of authority in Nebraska, Associate Membership is open to National Insurance Company Trade Associations, Acturial Firms, Law Firms, Consulting Groups, and Accounting Firms. All membership is subject to approval of the Board of Directors.
